Lets get with the brief introductions, shall we?

My name is Anahita and I have just created this blog to showcase my talents and share my dream to a larger network of like-minded folks worldwide. As a first measure, I entered the ifreshface contest and I believe your votes will decide if the brooch in one of my photos will get replaced by a Crown! Thanks for all your support and votes!

Oh, lemme complete my intro first! I was born in Pune, India and at 42 days, boarded my first International flight to Jeddah, Saudi Arabia in a crib! Then at age 2, my folks relocated to Dubai, UAE where I lived for the next 10 years.

I enjoyed my first Europe Trip at age 3, crisscrossing London, Netherlands, Germany, France, Switzerland etc. Imagine traveling by plane, ship and Bus at age 3!! But I was one of the best traveler, promptly waking up early morn, getting ready, taking breakfast and while on the bus ride, dozing off….just in time to be woken up when the next attraction arrives! Whew! Not satisfied with this, my folks took me on a USA trip at age 9!! Now before all you guys think I have wings under my feet, lemme assure you…..I do (LOL) !! And while I am not traveling, I use my flighty feet to help out on my passion …. dancing and choreographing! At age 10, I surprised my folks and their guests one day by banding together two other kid-friends from the guest folks, locking up in a room, and in about half an hour or so, teaching these kids (hey I was a kid too!) to dance on a hit hindi number (cant recall which one!)….AND…guess what….we three surprised everyone by walking into the Living Room, creating on-the-fly, in perfect coordination, rhythm and synch, one of our best performances… LIVE! Due to ONCE MORE requests, we did it again…and again much to the delight of everyone! Right there & then, I was labeled a future celebrity!! Since then, I have performed as well as choreographed many performances at several locations including Dubai, Rishi Valley School, Symbiosis Junior College, Pune etc and some of these have been covered on news papers and Television too! Last year, I was crowned first runner-up for Ms Pune Times Title for pulling off a Katrina Kaif Singh is King number with oomph as the news release stated. I have also walked the ramp for MTV/Westside sponsored STYLE SHOWDOWN held in Pune.

When I turned 16, my friends suggested I have all the traits to be a good teen model so why not go for it? Well, I did and guess what, I got the opportunity to model for IDEA Cellular Billboard Ad. You can still look me up on these Billboards in many cities of India. It was such a thrill to see ME so BIG on those Billboards while on a drive to Goa!
Right now, I find it exhilarating to pose in front of a trained and experienced photographer and model!

And I am looking forward to get Mr. Daboo Ratnani to do my photo shoot and update my portfolio! I just loved his action picture of Actress Kajol by the poolside throwing the coffee!

My Dad presented me with a Canon XSi DSLR Camera for my birthday. I asked him why such an expensive camera...he replied: "I have seen you take some photos while you were younger around 9 and I think you have the eye for picking up a good shot!" I think he referred to a photograph of a photograph that i had taken!! There was this photograph of me and Dad that I placed on the floor tile by the edge of the Wall and took its picture by lying on the floor....hey, thats the best i could do at 9 yrs! I wish I can find that photo somewhere, I shall post it for all of you to see for yourself!

The other great shot that I took with this camera is a Flower.. well, for an untrained eye, its just a flower....but when you look closer, you see an ant and a Bee almost on a war-dance like position, each claiming the flower is their territory! This photograph was also featured in Outdoor Photographer Nature's Colours Photo Contest. Cool eh?

Also dont miss this photograph of a Pigeon I took with one leg!


I am yet to get onto taking photographs of....guess....People! (LOL!). I have also done a course on Make-up and can turn an ugly duckling into a beautiful Swan!!! LOL.
